
DIC2 Call for Sponsors!

Hi everyone! My name is Keven Poore, (name captioned on video below) co-chair for Deaf Interpreter Conference 2 to take place in July at Villanova, PA.
The reason for this video is to announce a Call for Sponsors. Sponsors have a very important role in the success and continuation of this conference. The conference will recognize the contributions of sponsors to the conference. Additionally, the conference also acknowledges sponsors’ support of the Deaf Interpreting profession and its continued growth.
If you are interested in becoming a sponsor, go to our website www.DeafTerpConf.com (captioned on video) and once on the home page, scroll down and click on the “Call for Sponsors” button. This will bring you to the Sponsor page. There, you’ll see an explanation of the sponsorship process and benefits of sponsoring. You’ll also see a list of selections on this page.
There are two main categories of sponsorship - one is Sponsorship Levels. There are four levels and each has its own distinct description of benefits. The other category is a list of specific items you can sponsor - events, items and a few others. For example, you can sponsor an evening social at the conference, sponsor a plenary speaker or have your company logo affixed to name badges as a sponsor. These are just three of a long list of options.
You can be a “level” sponsor AND sponsor for specific events or items listed.
Another way you can be a sponsor is to be a scholarship sponsor. There may be Deaf individuals seeking to become Deaf interpreters or there may be some working Deaf interpreters in need of more training who may have a hard time getting to the conference. A scholarship may make it possible for them to attend the conference.
After you have read the sponsor page and are ready to sign up as a sponsor, go to the bottom of the page. There is an email button should you have questions or need clarification. If not, click on the Sponsor form button and complete the short 3 page form that pops up and if all is good on the form, click on submit. The committee will receive the form and be in touch with you to work out payment arrangements and
collection of your company logo and other items as necessary.
